June school holidays 2019: Bond with your kids over a slice of milo, yuzu or durian cake
It’s finally the mid-year school holidays in 2019 and we’re pretty sure your kids are looking forward to having some fun during the month. Indeed, the school break is an excellent opportunity to spend meaningful time with your family, over some milo, yuzu or durian cake.
At Cat & The Fiddle, we don’t just create our masterpieces to lure the cake lover. We bake with our hearts so that you can enjoy these treats with your loved ones – in more fun ways you can imagine! Our life-sized Cat will be there to say hello just before you step into our flagship store at The Central. You will then be greeted with a vibrant dash of colour. Our rainbow-like interiors help to create the lively atmosphere we aim for our customers, especially appealing for kids.
For the school holidays this year, head down to our store for a sensory journey while you dig into your favourite Asian-inspired cheesecake – durian, milo, yuzu or even yuan yang!
Our Asian-Inspired Cheesecakes
Durian Cheesecake – King Cat of the Mountain
For the ultimate favourite, there’s the King Cat of the Mountain – our decadent durian cheesecake. Using Mao Shan Wang, the king of all durians, this cake comes with a soft durian sponge cake topped with cream cheese packed with the fruit’s creamy flavour. This is indeed one durian cake your child will remember!
We’ve also combined the chocolatey goodness of our local favourite malt drink with cream cheese to invent the no bake milo dinosaur cheesecake. We reckon your child will love this one. Imagine a generous spoonful of milo powder above a creamy layer of cream cheese melting in your mouth – already craving for it as we write this.
Yuan Yang Coffee and Tea Cheesecake – Paws of Fury
There’s also our coffee and tea flavoured cheesecake – Paws of Fury – that blends the fragrant Arabica coffee and Hong Kong-style milk tea to produce the traditional yuan yang cheesecake. A bite into this double-decker cake will give you the best caffeine fix you need!
Yuzu and Lemon Cheesecake – Maneki Neko
Stepping aside from the Singaporean flavours, we also have the Japanese-inspired cheesecake called the Maneki Neko. This cake is an artistic bake of yuzu, mandarin orange, lemon, lime and silky cream cheese, set atop a crunchy and buttery base of biscuits. Maneki Neko may be light, but it sure gives you a robust citrus flavour in each bite!
Time for a treat during the school holidays in 2019!
